Welcome to the Financial Reporting Department. This department is responsible for the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), the Annual Bond Indebtedness and Long-Term Obligations Report, and well as various other monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Illinois' Budget Stabilization Fund, more commonly referred to as its Rainy Day Fund, was created by the Illinois General Assembly in 2000 to be the state’s primary reserve account. Its purpose is to keep government operating through times when revenues decline due to unforeseen economic challenges, such as a recession or the recent coronavirus pandemic.
State and University Employees Combined Appeal (SECA) is an annual program that provides all employees the opportunity to donate to the charitable cause of their choice through payroll deduction. It is administered by the Illinois Office of Comptroller (IOC).
Financial data is available in bulk for those who would like to view and query the financial information of local governments in Illinois. All financial data provided is self-reported by the local governments, according to state law. An understanding of Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel is encouraged for analyzing the data.
