Comptroller urges parents to use shopping trips as a lesson in budgeting

Taxpayers can now inquire about Prevailing Wage Act contracts that have been reported to our Office. You can inquire by entering a specific vendor name, vendor FEIN, or a county. The information returned will include the vendor name, contracting agency, contract number, original contract amount, original contract terms, county, location, and general description.

The Warrant Inquiry Form allows a vendor to enter the warrant number and determine if the payment has been cashed. Please be advised that as of July 1, 2026 the State of Illinois has a new Statewide Accounting Management System (SAMS). The new system issues payments with new warrant number prefixes. Refer to the table below for a comparison of old and new prefixes. Bring this notice with you when cashing your check in case your financial institution questions the check’s validity. Questions?
