Adoptable Critters

Aiden

If Aiden was human he would be an Olympian medal winner...probably in every category.

This handsome two-year-old Australian Cattle dog needs a job to do and will likely succeed at any task. Agility, fly ball. dock jumping...you name it, Aiden the jock is ready to go! When he is not showing off at doggy sports, long hikes, a strenuous jog or a game of fetch with a big jolly ball will be sure to keep him entertained. So Aiden's is searching for a family that is as tireless as he is.

Aiden is very devoted and enjoys staying nearby his people. He is quite a smart boy and has learned some useful skills that make being his BFF all the more enjoyable. If he starts to pull on the leash, just stop and say “with me” and he comes closer and stops pulling. He also knows “leave it” which is helpful when Aiden is tempted by something he should not have and “back up” when the door opens and he is overly excited.

Another dog in the home that shares his active play-style would be welcome.

If you feel that spirited Aiden is a great match for you, then stop by our South Elgin location to make his acquaintance.

Dexter

Hi, my name is Dexter! I am a spunky six-month-old Terrier mix with adorable floopy ears. I came all the way from Oklahoma to find my very own forever home!

I am twenty-six pounds of fun-loving energy and I can't wait to make your acquaintance! As a young pup, I enjoy playing, wiggling, chewing, and giving kisses! I promise to be fun and shower you in love. I am easygoing, friendly, and love playing with other doggies!

If you're looking for a sweet pup ready to play and love, that's me, Dexter! Could YOU be my happily fur-ever after?!

You can find true love at Anderson Animal Shelter's North Aurora Adoption Center located at 180 N. Randall Road.

Honey

Honey can certainly be as sweet as honey, but she prefers to be SASSSSSY!

If you want to be Honey's BFF then bring a feather toy to the party. This two-year-olds playful side cannot be overstated! She loves cat toys of any kind and is always ready to go.

Honey is open to attention in the way of pets and caresses but is not shy about letting you know when she is ready for alone time. Her warm side will likely increase once in a safe and happy home as she is stressed by the other cats at the shelter.

If sometimes sassy doesn't intimidate you and a playful cat is what you seek, then Honey is the purr-fect match for you.

Stop by our South Elgin location to meet Honey.

Stormy

"Hi I’m Stormy

I’m really hoping that someday soon I will find the perfect person to take me home. I’ve been waiting patiently at the South Elgin adoption center dreaming of a forever home. Maybe you haven’t seen me yet... I am a bit shy, so I’m looking for someone who will sit patiently with me so I can have some time to open up.

If you love quiet downtime with soft music and cuddles, I think we would get along well! I love to snuggle up with the other cats in my condo, so if you have another cat or two, I’d love to introduce myself. I think I would make a wonderful calico companion if you gave me a chance! With a little kindness and some gentle pets, you may just unlock the key to my heart ."
