Culinary Kids was created in September 2013, by the late Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka and Honorable Susana A. Mendoza. Today, Culinary Kids continues to educate third through twelfth-grade students on the benefits of a healthy diet and physical fitness.
Although it can seem easier to pick up fast food, Culinary Kids shows that healthy alternatives can be both easy and affordable. We introduce students to the exciting world of culinary arts, giving them the confidence to prepare their own healthy meals, plant gardens, and practice proper etiquette.
We welcome all who are interested in helping our children both mentally and physically. Who knows, we may even be able to inspire the next Top Chef.
