Meet Maxine, a girl with the biggest smile you’ve ever seen! While she may smile on the outside, she’s been quite stressed and sad since her owners never came for her, after she was found as a stray, five long months ago. She’s an energetic love bug that just needs someone willing to take a chance on her and teach her some manners. Maxine would do best in an experienced dog home with older children and a fenced yard. Being a Pittie, she hardly ever gets a second look from potential adopters. Maxine is eagerly waiting for someone to come and take a chance loving her. No kids under 16.
Edward came to us as an extremely emaciated stray cat found on a construction site. He had trouble walking, which we assumed was from his gravely thin body. We rushed him to our veterinarian, where he was found to have a hernia from an assumed trauma. Edward had surgery to repair the hernia as soon as he was strong enough to make it through anesthesia. After a few weeks, Edward had another setback when his hernia redeveloped so this poor guy had to go through another surgery and even longer cage rest. Edward has now fully recovered and he is just one big crazy kitten who loves life! He is a sweet boy who gets along well with other cats loves play, and likes to sit on the top of cat posts. He is up for adoption awaiting his happy ending.
Meet our fun loving fella, King! He is an 8 month old Australian Cattle Dog with ears for days! He is a wonderful little guy, who wants nothing more than an active family that will give him the exercise he needs. King needs a family that understands his super smart breed and all the fun times that come with a Cattle Dog!
Meet Bianca, a 9-month-old black beauty! Bianca is a boss, and she makes sure you know it! She will happily jump on your shoulder or back so she has a better view on top of her human servant. She is a super fun girl with a ton of personality. Bianca is seriously a stunning girl. We can’t wait for this girl to get her own home to rule in!
Meet Koi, a 1-year-old cutie patootie! Koi has been with us since May, and the only reason we can assume she’s still with us is she’s fairly quiet and likes to keep out of trouble. Her looks are stunning, she has a tricolored patchy coat that is certain to grab your attention. Koi is as sweet as can be, she is patiently and quietly waiting for her FURever home- is that with you?! Please replace Keeley with:
Petunia lived with our trainer for a while and she was found to be extremely smart. She is willing to take on any challenge and thrives on being worked. She is looking for an adopter who is willing to spend time with her and give her the challenges and exercise she so craves.
Karen would like to speak to your manager! She is demanding to know why she has been waiting almost 8 long months for a home! She is a beautiful 1 year old gray gal. Karen doesn’t always get along with others, so she would prefer to be your 1 and only fur child. She can be oh so sweet and loving, but she is looking for a cat savvy home that truly understands her. Do you have what it takes to handle a real-life Karen?
Recently, one of our volunteers took Snow Cone home. We have not seen Snow Cone smile since he came to us. BUT as you can see, he is sporting several pretty smiles - all it took was getting out of the shelter. Snow Cone is a 2-year-old Husky mix who came in as a stray, and we expected a wild child based by his breed, but man were we wrong! Snow Cone is such a chill and loving dude! He’s respectful of his canine neighbors and never seems to make a fuss! He’s certainly a favorite among the volunteers. Snow Cone knows some basic commands and is gentle when taking treats. Most of his pictures make him look so serious, and maybe that's because he is serious about finding a home.
Our handsome boy Rain needs a home SOON! He has just been waiting and waiting. Rain came to us in April when his owner relinquished him with heartworm. He has finished his heartworm treatment, but still can’t seem to find a home. Rain is the absolute sweetest dog with people, he is a favorite among many volunteers! Unfortunately, Rain really wants "nothing" to do with other animals, so being in a shelter full of them is clearly stressing him out. We know there aren’t many pet-free homes with a 6-foot fence willing to take a chance on him, but we can promise he is well worth it! He just wants love and companionship with humans. Rain is a 6-year-old Border Collie mix weighing 70-80 pounds. If you don’t have the right home for Rain, please make sure to share him with your friends so we can find this big love bug a home!
