Adoptable Critters

Duncan

Duncan

Meet Duncan! The charming 5 year old Cattle/Shepherd mix is looking for her forever family. Duncan loves being outside and will start her happy dance when she sees her leash in your hand. Given the opportunity, this pup would love to go running and feeling the wind through her fur. Duncan is as sharp as a tack and loves to play new and creative games, as long as the winning prize is some tasty treats! When she is out running around, this sweet girl loves to take her bone and sit next to you while watching TV.

Duncan would do best in an experienced active household with family members over the age of 15. She would want to be the one and only when it comes to receiving your love, so being the only pet is ideal. Duncan is very smart, so to keep her mind active she would love to keep learning new tricks and skills. Her dream home would have a yard where she can create her own race track, but she’ll settle for lots of walks.

Jack

Jack

Jack is a lap dog in training! This one year old Jack Russell mix is very slow to warm up to new people and environments because he is deaf but once he does he wants nothing more than to be in your lap and be the center of your attention. Jack would do best in a quiet home with experienced owners, members over fifteen, who can commit to training him and exercising him as much as possible. Being deaf doesn’t keep this guy from learning new tricks! Jack would benefit from continued training with hand commands and other training techniques. Is this Jack the Jack Russell for you? Please stop by the Pippen Fasseas Adoption Center at 1997 North Clybourn Ave., in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood today.

Wolfie

Wolfie

Meet Wolfie! The happiest boy you’ve ever met! He just loves being around his people. He recently spent time in a foster home and his foster mom loved him to bits. He is such a smart boy that loves everyone and is so sweet. He’s pretty laidback and is always ready for a walk and loves to play with all the toys that he can get! He is fully housebroken and would prefer to be in a home where someone is home often. Wolfie loves going on picnics and cookouts but is equally happy chilling with you when a new show demands to be binge-watched all in one Saturday. He’d be a great road trip buddy as he loves going for rides in the car!

Worried about missing your alarm in the morning? Never fear, Wolfie is here! He prefers to wake you up each morning with a nose nuzzle and some kisses to let you know it’s time to get up! He also loves to push his head into your legs for maximum snuggles and pets. Wolfie is so sweet and truly loves his people. Some say he resembles Dobby from Harry Potter. Not only are his ears similar, but so is his personality- He just wants to help Harry Potter! Come and meet Wolfie today!

Yukon

Yukon

Meet Yukon! Yukon is an extremely adorable, active, and social cat who is on the lookout for a new best friend. Yukon LOVES to play, and because he has an endless supply of energy to burn, he would thrive in an environment where he has someone that is home frequently to play with him. Because of his play style, he will need an adults-only home with experienced cat owners.

Kele

Kele

Meet Kele. Or as we call her--Bunny Cat--because with all her enthusiasm for life she looks like she is always hopping! Kele is a five month old kitten, who loves to play with other animals, especially other cats. When not playing with animals, Kele is keen on playing with mouse toys, wand toys, any type of cardboard and loves to use her scratching post.

Jay

Jay

Meet Jay! Our smart 1- year-old Shepherd who is on the search for her forever home. She may not be a German Shepherd, but that didn’t stop this brilliant pup from learning commands in German from a previous trainer. Jay is a little slow to warm up to people, but her curiosity (and the help of some tasty treats) will have her happy and friendly in no time. Jay would do best with a family that can provide her consistent structure, boundaries, and exercise.

Poli

Poli

We have no doubt that Poli is a show stopper of a dog who surely turns heads every time he goes for a walk. Poli was adopted from us as a young dog and remained in his first home for 3 years before he was returned to us when his adopters could no longer care for him. He came back and didn’t spend much time here before he was adopted again. Poli was returned after 3 years with his family because he was not a good match with the young child in the home. We know that the third time’s the charm for sweet Poli and his perfect forever family is out there waiting for him. Poli’s ideal home would be with people who will be patient with him as he adjusts to his new environment. Poli loves to go for long walks and enjoys being active during the daytime and then hit the couch at night. Poli is searching for a quiet, adults-only home with an owner who will be able to go slow with him as he gets used to his new surroundings. He has lots of love to share with both humans and canines alike and would do well in a home with another laid back doggy friend. Poli also is a huge foodie and enjoys chewing on bones and will never say no to a treaty. Poli loves putting his brain to work in training class and hopes his family will continue with training to keep him challenged. Caramel

Caramel

Meet Caramel, the strong and beautiful Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. This two-year old girl is looking for her daily workout buddy. Caramel loves to go running as much as she can so 5 miles is now like a walk around the block for this speedster. Caramel has the full package of brains and beauty. She loves obedience and would love to continue her training in her adoptive home. Caramel doesn’t believe that there is a size limit when it comes to being a lap dog so when she’s finished both her mental and physical activities, this sweet girl just wants to curl up with you . Caramel’s forever home should be an active household who can continue her training, both mentally and physically. She is looking for a dog experienced, adults-only household to call her own. Caramel would also prefer to be the only animal in the house. Please stop by the PIppen Fasseas Adoption Center at 1997 North Clybourn Ave., in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood to meet Caramel!

Colby

Colby

Need some southern soul in your life? Meet Colby! This gorgeous Labrador Retriever/mix originally came to PAWS Chicago from Tennessee. Colby is an energetic dog that loves exercising and being outdoors. He is smart and focused so he loves learning and mastering a new set of training skills. Colby would prefer a home with family members who are all over the age of 15 and who have experience with energetic dogs. He prefers to be the only animal in the house. If you are interested in meeting Colby, please visit our Pippen Fasseas Adoption Center at 1997 N. Clybourn Ave. in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Brody

Brody

One look at Brody’s winning smile and bright chocolate eyes and your heart will melt! This hound is a sensitive soul; a shy pup, he’ll need some time to acclimate to a new home and owners, but once he warms up, he’ll be a great companion. He is a bona fide couch potato and enjoys sleeping in his bed and listening to music while his owners are gone. Brody can be easily startled by unfamiliar people or quick movements, so he will require experienced owners in a quiet, adults-only home. He would prefer to be the only animal and would benefit from continued training. If you are interested in meeting Brody, please stop by our Pippen Fasseas Adoption Center at 1997 N. Clybourn Ave. in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.
