Open Doors Animal Rescue was founded in 2009 by two young individuals who had grown tired of the needless suffering of homeless animals in their community. Founded out of Hampshire, IL, Open Doors Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit organization that is based out of foster homes throughout the LaGrange and Chicagoland Area. The rescue deals primarily with cats, and often has events and fundraisers to help promote and find homes for the kitties in our care.
The rescue has many volunteers and is committed to saving and changing the lives of homeless and abandoned pets in our community. While our main focus is of course finding homes for our feline companions, we also assist anyone in need with getting their animals spayed or neutered, as well as providing pet food for those in need when able.

Hi! I am Savannah and I am one fun kitten. I really love to play and I am all about exploring my surroundings. Batting around toy mice and anything round will keep me busy for hours. When I'm not playing I really love to snuggle and get pets from humans. I purr really loud! Having another young feline buddy would be best for me as I really have a lot of energy. I am a purfect kitten that will be an amazing addition to any family. PLUS I have the CUTEST mustache ever.
Hi, meet Hayden and Jaymes! We are the last of our siblings at Open Doors and can't believe we are still here. We are do adorable and fun, who wouldn't want to take us home? Jaymes (spelled with a "Y" because she is a girly girl) has a little bobbed tail and she is super fast! Hayden has her tail and like a dog she loves to chase it.
Hi, I'm Grey, I'm four years young and just a gorgeous dilute Tortie (see my pretty pattern?)! I love pets and scratches behind my ears! I'd love a home where it's on the quiet side and I could lounge around in the sun! I would do best in a house with either older quiet kids or none at all.
This 2 year old girl is such a amazing companion. Sara came to us a pregnant mom and all of her babies have been adopted. Now she's ready to find her home. She will play, cuddle and also spend time on her own. Sara will fit into just about any family as she gets along with cats, dogs and kids.
Hello, I am Jolene, and been nicknamed JoJo. I came to Open Doors, a kitten myself but pregnant, sick and found alone on the streets. I had my healthy babies and now am looking for my furever home. My favorite thing to do is lay on the couch next to you, I will do this for hours as long as you pet me! I purr so loud and happy!
Hi there! We were given up by our owner for no reason at all and are looking for our furever home together. We hated being apart at animal control and anytime their cages were opened we were nose to nose. Who wouldn't want a gentle orange lion and sweet black panther? Open Doors rescued us because they couldn't bear the thought we might not be adopted together.
