A self-funded agency committed to preventing the spread of rabies, educating the public on animal health and welfare, and offering the service of re-homing the homeless animals.
Kankakee County Animal Control and Adoption Center (KCAC) is a very small shelter, originally built as a hold and kill facility. The former animal control only facility is now also an adoption center, placing hundreds of dogs and cats into new homes each year.
Whether you are searching for a lost pet or looking for a new addition to your household, our dedicated team of caring professionals is ready to serve you. Please contact us and let us know how we can help.
Attention all Animal Lovers!!!!!!!!! The Kankakee Animal Control and Adoption Center needs your help to build a brand new facility. We have acquired 5 acres on Rt 45/52, just south of the 308 exit. We are now in the process of raising funds for the new and improved shelter building, which we hope will allow us to better assist the pets in the area and to offer additional services to pet owners. If you would like to join us in this exciting endeavor, please let us know!
