Du Quoin, IL— I thank the state representatives of both parties who came together today to pass historic legislation to provide equitable school funding in Illinois. I urge senators of both parties to follow suit tomorrow and pass this bill so that my office can send out the missed General State Aid payments to schools as soon as possible.
I am encouraged a compromise appears to be in the works that will finally allow my office to get Illinois schools the General State Aid payments they have been missing.
